Middle and high school students recently returned from an inspiring weekend retreat at River Valley Ranch. The event combined meaningful worship, powerful messages, and fun activities that brought everyone closer together. The preacher, Big House, shared the gospel in a way that resonated deeply with the students, creating a memorable experience that went beyond just a typical weekend getaway.

Worship and Message That Made an Impact

The heart of the retreat was the worship sessions led by Liberty Collective and a preacher named Big House. His message about temptation and forgiviness from sin encouraging students to reflect on their personal journeys. Many students shared that the gospel presentation helped them understand their faith in a new light. Especially his anaology the garden of eden being all you can eat lasagna with a forbidden meatball. His message along with uplifting music and moments of quiet reflection, allowed students to connect to the gospel

Big House’s approach was relatable and engaging, using stories and examples that spoke directly to the challenges young people face today. This made the gospel message accessible and meaningful, inspiring students to think about how they can live out their faith in everyday life.

Activities That Built Friendships and Confidence

Beyond the spiritual side, the retreat offered a variety of activities that kept students active and engaged. Dodgeball games sparked friendly competition and laughter, helping break the ice among students who didn’t know each other well. The zip line was a highlight for many, offering a thrilling experience that pushed students out of their comfort zones.

Horseback riding gave students a chance to connect with nature and learn new skills. For some, it was their first time on a horse, which made the experience even more special. The relaxed moments spent just hanging out around the campfire or walking through the scenic trails allowed friendships to deepen naturally.

These activities were more than just fun; they helped students build confidence, teamwork, and trust. The shared experiences created a strong sense of community that many students said they will carry with them long after the retreat.

Creating Lasting Memories and Connections

The weekend at River Valley Ranch was designed to be a time of growth, both spiritually and socially. Students left feeling uplifted and inspired.

Parents and leaders noticed a positive change in the students’ attitudes and outlooks. Many expressed gratitude for the chance that their student had to step away from daily routines and focus on what truly matters: faith, friendship, and fun.
